Sometimes, a simple intuition can turn into a complex design challenge. This is what happened with Janod, the toy brand of Juratoys, with whom we have a strong affinity. When they needed a display for their wooden letters, they were not looking for a standard solution, but a stand that would discreetly enhance them, making them the absolute stars.
The challenge: a display that fits every shape
The brief was clear, but very ambitious:
A counter display for wooden letters of the alphabet, to be displayed without packaging.
A support that would keep every single letter upright, stable and tidy, even if it had irregular shapes and sizes.
A discreet and functional design that does not obscure the product, but enhances it.
The requirement was a real “puzzle”: each letter had to have its own slot on a single panel, while at the same time ensuring stability to prevent the slightest touch from creating a domino effect.
The result: an example of a display built around the product
We took up the challenge, tackling it with our design approach. The design for Janod is a perfect example of how the display can be built around the product, almost “disappearing” to leave space for the merchandise.
Our display solved every critical issue, demonstrating that it is possible to combine effectiveness and discretion, creating a tailor-made solution that is:
Practical: each letter has its own space, with a support to ensure stability.
Functional: the design is designed to withstand everyday use and potential traffic in a toy shop.
Lightweight and sustainable: made with our interlocking method, it is easy to transport and assemble.
With this project, we have redefined the ABC of exhibition, demonstrating that true art lies in being present without being seen.
Wooden displays for the toy world
