Following trends with personality: the La Pingvin case study

When our clients introduce us to a new company to collaborate with, we feel a dual responsibility: not to disappoint the newcomers and to prove to our existing clients that their trust is well-placed (and, ultimately, to make them look good too).

This was the case with La Pingvin, a company we got to know through a referral from one of our clients. La Pingvin distributes clothing and toys for infants and children, a sector increasingly discovering wood as an ideal material for displaying their products (as we explored in this article).

Their request was to design part of their stand for the Toy Milano fair. The first step was to gather the company’s specific needs:

In their stand, La Pingvin needed spaces and supports to display children’s clothing, with corners that could also serve as examples for clients—attractive solutions that could be easily replicated in retail settings.

The displays had to be consistent with the brand identity, which needed to be evident throughout the stand, including the client meeting area.

With these ideas in mind, we started with some products from our catalog to provide the company with an effective and customized solution.

Tailored adjustments that make a difference

The foundation was the design of one of our existing clothing displays, which we modified according to the company’s specifications, creating an additional shelf that can be easily added or removed, ensuring flexibility of use. The result: a versatile display that adapts seamlessly to different situations, just the way we like it (and the client too).

Custom painting

To give a unique touch and convey the brand identity, we painted parts of the displays in La Pingvin’s logo color, a delicate pastel shade perfectly in line with the type of products and the color trends of the sector.

This color accent, combined with the beauty of natural wood, further enhanced the display. And when the painting is done expertly as we do (discover more here), the result is even more valuable.

We also painted the tops of tables and seats chosen from the Esposit catalog, where minimalistic yet highly functional solutions abound. This way, the meeting area is also consistent with the company image, subtly echoing the colors and harmonizing with the rest of the furnishings.

Savings in every sense!

Let’s not forget that those who choose our furniture for trade shows or events do so not only for the unique design but also for the significant logistical and economic advantages.

In this case too, the assembly and disassembly of the furniture at the location were managed entirely independently by the company, saving time and money.

The versatility of our furniture allows for easy reuse at future events, making them a long-lasting investment. This is further supported by the minimalistic style that withstands trends and the solid quality of the chosen materials.

Moreover, working with existing catalog items allowed us to stay within budget, with subsequent savings in storage thanks to the minimal space our disassembled furniture occupies.

Our experience with La Pingvin once again demonstrates that when the foundation is solid, and the skills are robust, just a few customizations can yield a unique stand that meets industry trends and stands out for style and quality in a competitive trade show environment.
